Project Associate (Humanitarian Protection)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is looking for a Project Associate to support humanitarian protection programming in Gaziantep, Turkey. The role contributes to emergency case management, mental health and psychosocial support, and the delivery of protection services for migrants and refugees, under the supervision of senior protection staff.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of emergency case management (ECM) and mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) activities.
• Support the operation of Voluntary Return and Advisory Desks as entry points for information, counselling and referrals.
• Identify individuals at risk, including victims of trafficking and survivors of gender‑based violence, and ensure appropriate referrals.
• Contribute to capacity‑building initiatives for staff and partners on protection principles and procedures.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to improve the quality, consistency and coverage of protection service delivery.
• Collect, record and report data related to protection activities as required.

Required profile

• Ability to work under the overall supervision of the National Protection Officer and the direct supervision of the Senior Protection Associate.
