Project Buyer – Sourcing & Procurement Role

About the role

We are looking for a Project Buyer to join our global technology team in Istanbul. You will work closely with interdisciplinary development groups to manage purchasing activities from project kickoff through series production readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing activities within interdisciplinary development teams – from early supplier involvement and price negotiations to series production readiness.
• Develop bidder lists and sourcing plans together with commodity managers.
• Prepare analytical evaluations to support purchasing decisions and present them to the Sourcing Committee.
• Initiate and implement measures to reduce material costs.
• Conduct global sourcing activities in cooperation with international purchasing teams.
• Prepare and support supplier relocations.
• Identify, approve, and develop new suppliers.

Required profile

• Degree in engineering, business administration or a comparable field.
• Minimum two years of purchasing experience, preferably in an industrial environment.
• Results‑oriented, structured work style with strong negotiation and personal responsibility.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Proficient use of PCs and MS Office; SAP R/3 experience is a plus.
• Fluent in written and spoken German and English.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
• Motivation to work in an international setting.
