About the role
ABB is seeking a Project Design Engineer to support MV primary AIS switchgear projects within its Distribution Solutions business. The role involves delivering technical details, cost estimates, and design outputs for sales proposals and ensuring successful project delivery.
Key responsibilities
- Follow projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Create electrical designs using E‑Plan and AutoCAD, and program protection relays.
- Prepare design documentation and manage non‑conformance reports with preventive actions.
- Develop technical and material standards and contribute to standardisation projects.
Required profile
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Automation Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing switchgear projects (LV or MV preferred).
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Fluent written and spoken English.
