Project Engineer - eHouse

About the role

ABB is looking for a Project Engineer for its eHouse business unit in Istanbul. The role reports to the ELDS Sales & Solutions Manager and coordinates engineering activities for eHouse projects, covering both tendering and project execution. It is an onsite position focused on delivering high-quality, cost-effective and timely solutions that meet contract, safety and quality requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the engineering of eHouse projects, meeting schedule and deadline targets and following relevant guidelines
• Coordinate engineering activities and technical clarifications from electrical, mechanical, structural and cooling engineers, eHouse fabricators and equipment suppliers
• Understand customer requirements and local and global standards, and share the information with stakeholders
• Provide technical commentary and evaluate ABB products, systems and architectures, integrating ABB advantages into engineering deliverables
• Manage technical documentation, including preparation, revision control, compliance tracking and specification review for tendering and execution
• Support the sales team in generating offers, strategies and concepts
• Drive continuous improvement of eHouse engineering processes and share best practices with partners, fabricators and suppliers

Required profile

• 5 years of experience in eHouse engineering, lead engineering or engineering management for electrification projects
• Demonstrated experience managing engineering activities, vendors and subcontractors
• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or a similar field
• Good command of English and Turkish
• Leadership, collaboration and communication skills, with a focus on safe work practices

Required skills

• Solid technical knowledge of MV/LV, transformers, UPS, DC, HVAC and fire & gas systems, and of prefabricated solutions and integrated substations
• AutoCAD for 2D/3D drawings and concept structural designs
• EPLAN for drawing revisions and schematics
• Power system calculations with ETAP/SKM (short circuit, selectivity, relay coordination, cable sizing)
