Project Engineer - Electrical Design & Automation

About the role

Wilo, a leading company in the pump industry supplying building technology, water management and the industrial sector, is looking for a Project Engineer to join its Production Department in Turkey. The role covers electrical design, project planning, commissioning and continuous improvement within the production environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop low voltage (LV) electrical projects and automation systems, and create electrical drawings and schematics using WSCAD or Eplan
• Prepare technical reports, specifications and project documentation, and develop detailed bills of materials for control panels
• Use AutoCAD and SolidWorks for layout and mechanical-electrical integration, and manage material movements and production data via SAP (PP and MM)
• Create project schedules, cost estimates and status reports, coordinate production planning with internal stakeholders and lead the commissioning of automation projects
• Act as the main technical contact for clients and ensure projects comply with international electrical standards and safety regulations
• Apply Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen and Lean Management to optimise production flow, and run Six Sigma improvement projects
• Evaluate and audit suppliers and work with operations and subcontractors to ensure smooth on-site execution

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience
• Experience in electrical design, including LV projects, and in automation project drawings and commissioning
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Living in or willing to relocate to the Asian side of Istanbul; completed military service for male candidates
