Project & Maintenance Manager

About the role

The Project & Maintenance Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising all maintenance activities within the assigned production area. The role ensures that equipment downtime is minimized, budgets are respected and safety standards are upheld.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare mid‑ and long‑term maintenance plans, including budgeting, for the assigned area.
• Coordinate scheduled maintenance with functional and operational managers to avoid production disruptions.
• Prioritise, schedule and manage planned maintenance programmes, shutdowns and emergency repairs.
• Supervise internal maintenance staff and external technicians, assigning tasks and ensuring safety procedures.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical and control systems of production, utility and refrigeration equipment.
• Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules and inspections.
• Assess maintenance needs from drawings, manuals and equipment condition, ensuring required parts and tools are available.
• Drive continuous improvement by researching new equipment, tools and processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in maintenance planning and management within an industrial environment.
• Strong ability to liaise with production and operations teams.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for diagnosing equipment failures.
• Capability to supervise both internal staff and external service providers.
