Quality Assurance & Control Engineer – Food Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking a Quality Assurance and Quality Control Engineer to join the Quality team of a well‑established food manufacturing company that exports canned foods, ready‑made sauces and jams. The role ensures product quality and food safety from raw material receipt through production to shipment, complying with export market requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out QA and QC activities in line with company standards, regulations and customer expectations.
• Monitor product quality, food safety and documentation for export markets.
• Support implementation and compliance with BRCGS, IFS and other GFSI‑recognised systems.
• Perform quality controls throughout production, from raw material acceptance to final shipment.
• Conduct on‑site checks to maintain standards for canned foods, sauces and jams.
• Participate in internal, external, customer audits and certification processes.
• Identify non‑conformities, plan corrective/preventive actions and verify their effectiveness.
• Maintain quality‑related documentation and reporting.
• Collaborate with Production and other departments to drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Engineering or related field.
• Hands‑on quality experience in a food manufacturing environment serving export markets.
• Experience with production and quality processes of canned foods, sauces or jams.
• Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and ownership mindset.

Required skills

• Practical knowledge of BRCGS standards.
• Practical knowledge of IFS standards.
• Familiarity with other GFSI‑recognised quality and food safety standards.
