Quality Engineer – Development

About the role

Webasto is seeking a Quality Engineer – Development to support its Operations Department. The role will act as the primary quality contact for customers, guiding projects from initial design through series production and ensuring compliance with automotive standards.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the plant’s point of contact for all customer‑related quality matters throughout project and production phases.
• Create and maintain product control plans, test instructions, and PPAP documentation.
• Monitor quality targets, drive corrective actions, and reduce failure costs.
• Handle customer complaints and claims using structured problem‑solving tools.
• Conduct internal and external process audits, resolve non‑conformances, and implement improvement actions.
• Plan and execute capability studies and measurement system analyses.
• Support advanced quality planning, FMEA updates, and risk analysis.
• Analyze quality data with statistical software and support supplier development audits.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of quality management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
• In‑depth knowledge of automotive production processes and relevant customer‑specific quality standards.
• Proven ability to work with cross‑functional teams and drive continuous improvement.
