R&D Electrical and Automation Specialist

About the role

Dalgakiran Kompresor, which operates the first compressor R&D centre in Turkey and has moved its production to a new smart factory, is looking for an R&D Electrical and Automation Specialist. The specialist takes responsibility for new product development and existing product improvement projects within the R&D team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical and automation systems and prepare electrical projects within R&D activities.
• Select drives (inverters), design motor control systems and integrate them into products and systems.
• Ensure R&D projects comply with international electrical and industrial standards.
• Plan, execute and evaluate R&D tests on motors, drives and similar equipment.
• Provide technical support to Manufacturing, After-Sales Services and Service teams.
• Prepare, maintain and update technical documentation for ongoing and completed projects.
• Take part in commissioning, carry out field tests, perform root cause analyses and support troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Master's or MBA preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience designing, engineering, commissioning or maintaining electrical and automation systems (preferred).
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills, detail-oriented and results-driven.

Required skills

• Knowledge of electric motors and frequency inverters (VFDs)
• Industrial communication protocols
• EPLAN P8 or similar electrical design software
• TIA Portal or similar automation software (preferred)
• Ability to create and interpret technical documentation
