R&D Engineer – Mechanical Design (Home Appliances)

About the role

Join the Dishwasher Product Directorate at Arçelik Pazarlama and contribute to the design and development of innovative home‑appliance products. You will work on mechanical solutions for dishwashers, washing machines and refrigerators, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to bring sustainable, high‑quality products to market.

Key responsibilities

• Support mechanical design and development activities for home‑appliance products.
• Design plastic and metal components with focus on functionality, manufacturability and cost.
• Create 3D models and detailed technical drawings using CAD tools.
• Conduct mechanical validation tests such as lifetime, vibration, load and thermal cycling.
• Analyze performance data and propose design improvements.
• Assist DFMEA, tolerance analysis and root‑cause investigations.
• Collaborate with materials, production, quality and supplier teams throughout product development.
• Participate in cost‑reduction and design‑optimization projects.
• Monitor emerging technologies, design trends and competitor offerings.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s a plus).
• Fresh graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical design principles.
• Familiarity with plastic part and sheet‑metal design is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written English communication.
• Proactive team player with a strong ownership mindset.

Required skills

• CAD tools: Siemens NX, SolidWorks, CATIA.
• Plastic part design and sheet‑metal design.
• DFMEA, tolerance analysis, root‑cause analysis.
• Mechanical testing (lifetime, vibration, load, thermal cycling).
• Knowledge of injection molding, stamping and assembly processes.
