Receptionist – Front Desk at Luxury Istanbul Hotel

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and professional Receptionist to be the first point of contact for guests at The Grand Tarabya Managed by Accor in Istanbul. You will create a welcoming atmosphere and ensure a smooth, positive experience for every visitor.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests, handle check‑ins and check‑outs efficiently, and ensure accurate billing.
• Answer phone calls, respond to emails, manage reservations and assist with overbooking situations.
• Provide information on local attractions, restaurants and events to enhance guest stays.
• Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest needs and resolve issues.
• Process payments, handle cash transactions, and maintain a clean reception area.
• Support administrative tasks such as filing, data entry and report generation.

Required profile

• Excellent communication skills in English; Turkish and additional languages are a plus.
• Strong customer‑service orientation with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Previous hospitality or customer‑facing experience preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized and remain calm under pressure.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to learn hotel management software quickly; experience with Opera PMS is an advantage.
