Regional Finance Director

About the role

DFDS is seeking a Regional Finance Director to lead financial controlling, credit management and local accounting across the assigned region. You will work closely with global finance and local country teams to ensure strong governance and effective financial management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial controlling, credit management and local accounting functions across the region.
• Monitor and analyse regional financial performance, including revenue, costs, budgeting, forecasting and business planning.
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting in line with group IFRS standards and statutory requirements.
• Identify financial risks, control gaps and opportunities for cost optimisation.
• Oversee credit management, working‑capital performance and cash collection, driving improvements in DSO.
• Standardise, digitalise and automate finance processes and implement global initiatives locally.
• Build and develop strong finance teams, ensuring appropriate capabilities and structure.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or related field.
• 10+ years of finance, controlling or accounting experience, preferably in a multinational or regional setting.
• Proven leadership experience managing finance teams across multiple countries.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Fluent English.
