SAP BTP Specialist

About the role

This role covers the full development lifecycle of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) solutions, from analyzing enterprise requirements to designing and building user interfaces, backend services, data models and integrations. It follows Clean Core and side-by-side extensibility principles and works closely with Basis and Information Security teams.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze enterprise requirements and define SAP BTP approaches aligned with Clean Core and Side-by-Side Extensibility.
• Design and develop end-to-end user interfaces, service layers, business logic, data models and integration components on SAP BTP.
• Build user interfaces with SAPUI5/Fiori or modern web technologies in line with Fiori UX standards.
• Develop OData and REST-based backend services, APIs and business logic using CAP, Node.js or Java.
• Design high-performance data models on SAP HANA Cloud and related data services.
• Establish secure integrations between SAP S/4HANA and other systems using SAP Integration Suite, APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Implement security, authentication, authorization and data privacy standards with Basis and Information Security teams.
• Apply CI/CD, branching, code reviews and test automation; ensure code quality, performance, logging and error handling.
• Review third-party BTP deliverables and prevent redundant custom development through build/buy/reuse evaluations.
• Manage testing, UAT, go-live and post-go-live support, and maintain solution architecture, API and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, MIS or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in enterprise software, full-stack or SAP BTP development.
• Strong grasp of frontend and backend development, with hands-on JavaScript/TypeScript and at least one backend technology.
• Excellent communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving and documentation skills.
