Senior Account Manager, AWS Public Sector

About the role

As a Senior Account Manager in the Public Sector team, you will drive digital transformation by engaging C-level business and IT executives, IT leaders, architects, developers and other stakeholders. You will establish AWS as the key cloud provider across the accounts you manage, promoting the full AWS product and services portfolio to public sector customers, and guide them toward greater agility, innovation and efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Represent the full AWS portfolio across the accounts you manage in the enterprise customer market segment.
• Drive revenue and increase market share in a defined set of accounts, meeting or exceeding quarterly and monthly revenue targets.
• Develop and execute a plan to grow the AWS footprint in your accounts, managing several accounts concurrently.
• Create compelling value propositions around AWS services and accelerate customer adoption through strong sales engagements and go-to-market strategy.
• Maintain a robust sales pipeline and work with partners to extend reach and drive adoption.
• Manage contract negotiations and develop long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
• Ensure customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Public sector account management experience.
• Substantial technology-related sales, business development or sales engineering/consulting experience.
• Preferred: previous cloud technology sales experience, solution-based selling, background in manufacturing, retail or financial services, understanding of cloud computing concepts, project management experience, and 10+ years in sales.
