Senior Accountant

About the role

Omron Europe is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its Istanbul office. You will be part of the OMCE (Omron Management Center Europe) team, supporting the Finance function for the Turkey region in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Key responsibilities

• Post all general ledger transactions for local GAAP accurately and on time.
• Execute month‑end close procedures and assist Financial Controllers with monthly reporting.
• Create and review reconciliations and lead schedules for balance‑sheet and profit & loss accounts.
• Support the Compliance Manager and external partners with VAT, corporate tax, and other statutory filings.
• Perform AP and AR monthly reconciliations, maintain AP approval setups, and verify invoice processing.
• Collaborate with the Shared Service Center in the Netherlands and monitor related activities.
• Provide documentation and explanations for internal and external audits.
• Offer general assistance to internal teams as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
• Approximately 5 years of hands‑on accounting experience, preferably in a shared‑service environment.
• Strong knowledge of monthly and annual general‑ledger accounting, closing processes, and tax compliance (VAT, corporate tax).
• Familiarity with US‑GAAP, Turkish GAAP, and J‑SOX requirements.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural setting and meet tight deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably JDE or SAP.
• Advanced Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills.
• Knowledge of US‑GAAP, Turkish GAAP, and J‑SOX accounting standards.
• Experience with VAT reporting and corporate tax compliance.
