Senior Expert – Global Internal Audit

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Expert in Global Internal Audit for a leading technology company that delivers innovative and sustainable solutions across building technologies, water management, and industrial applications. The role involves planning and conducting audits across international subsidiaries, analysing processes and controls, and providing actionable recommendations to strengthen governance.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, manage and execute internal audits for global business processes, with a focus on international subsidiaries and intercontinental assignments.
• Analyse business processes, internal control systems and governance structures, identify weaknesses and risks, and develop practical improvement recommendations.
• Collaborate with local and regional management teams, conduct interviews and workshops, and communicate audit findings effectively.
• Prepare structured audit reports in English, leveraging data analytics, SAP/ERP systems and AI‑supported tools.
• Monitor implementation of agreed actions, build strong international partnerships and travel for on‑site audits.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Engineering, IT, Law or related field.
• Several years of internal audit and compliance investigation experience, preferably in an international environment.
• Strong written and spoken English, with confidence presenting findings to diverse stakeholders.
• Structured, reliable and independent working style, able to manage multiple audits simultaneously.
• Willingness to travel internationally; CIA qualification is a plus.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SAP and/or other ERP systems.
• Proficiency in data analytics and the ability to communicate complex business topics clearly.
• Familiarity with modern audit tools, including AI‑supported solutions.
