Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

AVEVA is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its EMEA sales organisation in Istanbul. You will lead the review, drafting and negotiation of complex Cloud, SaaS and software service transactions, supporting both direct and indirect sales across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end negotiation strategy and execution for complex EMEA commercial transactions.
• Draft, review and negotiate SaaS/Cloud agreements, software licences, order forms, professional services statements of work and maintenance terms.
• Handle indirect/channel agreements, reseller and distributor models, and strategic teaming arrangements.
• Provide NDAs, inbound commercial agreements, and support RFP/RFQ processes.
• Translate legal risk into clear business options for Sales, Finance, Services, Product and Security stakeholders.
• Operate within AVEVA’s approval matrix and contracting policies, escalating non‑standard terms as needed.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable laws and regulations and ensure compliance.

Required profile

• Experienced commercial lawyer with a pragmatic approach and ability to work autonomously.
• Strong track record in negotiating complex SaaS/Cloud and software transactions.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑regional teams (EMEA, Americas, APAC).
• Ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives and meet tight deadlines.
