Senior Legal Manager

About the role

DHL Supply Chain is seeking a Senior Legal Manager to provide strategic legal support across its global logistics and supply‑chain operations. The role will involve advising operational, sales and procurement teams on complex contractual, regulatory and dispute matters.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate 3PL/4PL, warehousing, freight forwarding, bonded warehousing, customs clearance and multimodal transportation agreements.
• Manage sector‑specific litigation, precedents and union negotiations.
• Support life‑science and health‑care regulatory compliance.
• Interpret and apply national and international transport regulations (CMR, TIR, INCOTERMS, FIATA, customs law).
• Oversee logistics‑related real‑estate contracts, build‑to‑suit leases and operational licensing.
• Provide timely, business‑focused legal advice to operational and sales functions.
• Handle data‑protection issues (KVKK & GDPR) related to driver, tracking and cross‑border data flows.
• Lead dispute resolution for loss/damage of goods, delivery delays, service‑level breaches and insurance claims.
• Coordinate compliance with Ministry of Transport, Health, Commerce licensing, permits and subcontractor due diligence.
• Maintain corporate secretarial processes, MERSİS approvals and governance structures.

Required profile

• Law degree from a reputable university in Turkey; LL.M. (preferably English‑language) in Business, Contract or International Trade Law.
• Minimum 10 years of legal experience, preferably as in‑house counsel in logistics, supply‑chain or transportation.
• Strong background in industrial relations, labor law and union negotiations.
• Proven experience with life‑science and health‑care legislation.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Contract logistics expertise (3PL/4PL, warehousing, freight forwarding).
• Knowledge of CMR Convention, TIR regulations, INCOTERMS, FIATA standards.
• Customs law and international transportation regulations.
• Data‑protection compliance (KVKK, GDPR).
• Union negotiation and industrial‑relations handling.
• Corporate secretarial and governance procedures (MERSİS).
