Senior Operations Officer

About the role

The Senior Operations Officer will support ADB's business development and project processing activities in Turkey, ensuring compliance with ADB procedures and contributing to the successful implementation of loans and technical assistance projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review draft reports, recommendations, and project administration manuals for compliance.
• Maintain project profiles and processing milestones in e‑Ops and other ADB information systems.
• Support monitoring of active ADB‑supported projects and technical assistance operations.
• Assist in reviewing procurement bidding documents, bid evaluations and pre‑qualification reports.
• Provide guidance to executing agencies on ADB guidelines and ensure accurate portfolio management reporting.
• Prepare briefing notes, presentation materials and lead development of team documentation and databases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, finance, business administration, public administration or related field; master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in administration, business development, project administration and implementation, with at least 4 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience in international agencies and background research, numeric work and information systems.
• Strong understanding of workflow interactions and decision‑making processes.

Required skills

• Proficiency in written and verbal English and Turkish.
• Proficiency in using information technologies for data management and reporting.
