Senior Project Associate – Protection

About the role

The Senior Project Associate – Protection will coordinate, monitor and support labour mobility activities in pilot provinces of Southeast Turkey. Working under the Senior Protection Coordinator and National Officer (Protection), the role involves day‑to‑day case management, project administration and stakeholder engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor implementation of labour mobility programmes, including case management and referrals.
• Provide project administration support and ensure timely reporting.
• Engage with governmental authorities, UN agencies, NGOs and other partners at operational level.
• Supervise and guide team members, monitor performance and ensure compliance with protection‑sensitive programming.
• Travel frequently to field sites across Southeast Turkey and other cities as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Political/Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Law, Social Services or related field with at least five years relevant experience, or high school diploma with seven years experience.
• Proven experience liaising with government, UN agencies and NGOs.
• Background in project implementation, case management, and protection‑sensitive programmes.
• Experience working with migrants, refugees, IDPs, trafficking victims or other vulnerable groups.
• Familiarity with labour mobility, socio‑economic integration and employability programmes.
• Fluency in English and Turkish (oral and written); Arabic knowledge is an advantage.
