Senior Python Software Engineer – Production Systems

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Python Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain production‑grade backend systems for our Istanbul office. This coding‑intensive position requires deep expertise in Python and modern web frameworks, and you will be responsible for delivering scalable services, APIs, and data pipelines in a fast‑moving environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust production‑grade applications and backend services in Python.
• Build clean, scalable, and well‑structured codebases using frameworks such as FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs and external services, working with both relational and non‑relational databases.
• Write efficient algorithms, optimize performance, and handle concurrency and asynchronous processing.
• Diagnose, profile, and resolve complex production issues while ensuring high code quality through automated testing.
• Conduct technical code reviews, enforce engineering standards, and refactor existing systems without compromising stability.
• Make architectural and technical decisions independently and collaborate with other specialists on complex projects.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Advanced, production‑level expertise in Python and strong understanding of OOP, functional programming, data structures, and algorithms.
• Proven experience designing, building, debugging, testing, and maintaining complex Python systems in real production environments.
• Professional proficiency in English.
