Senior Software Engineer

About the role

As a Senior Software Engineer you will design, develop and maintain industrial applications that support manufacturing and operational environments. You will work closely with senior developers, business stakeholders and production teams to drive digitalisation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain C#/.NET, Angular, MSSQL, Redis, NATS based applications and services.
• Own solutions end‑to‑end from requirements through architecture, implementation, deployment and production support.
• Develop backend services, APIs and machine‑data integrations using MQTT, NATS, OPC‑UA and Kepware.
• Design and optimise databases, queries, stored procedures, caching strategies and data flows.
• Build real‑time dashboards and reporting solutions for production KPIs.
• Troubleshoot issues across frontend, backend, database, messaging and machine integration layers.
• Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, CI/CD, automated testing and production diagnostics.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive development and operational processes using AI‑assisted tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably with production systems, manufacturing, MES or industrial automation.
• Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.

Required skills

• Strong C#/.NET skills including ASP.NET Core, APIs and asynchronous programming.
• Proficient Angular and TypeScript development.
• Deep MSSQL knowledge – database design, indexing, query optimisation, stored procedures.
• Experience with Redis, NATS, MQTT, OPC‑UA, Kepware or similar industrial integration platforms.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Codex) and ability to review AI‑generated code.
• Understanding of distributed systems, messaging, caching, concurrency and event‑driven architectures.
• Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability and production troubleshooting.
