About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join a long‑term software development program in the defence industry. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining large‑scale, mission‑critical systems in a collaborative engineering environment.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze user requirements and create software specifications.
- Participate in design, development, and maintenance of software applications.
- Develop and document technical solutions and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Perform unit testing, code reviews, refactoring, and support release deployments.
- Provide post‑production support, troubleshoot issues, and deliver solutions to customers.
- Engage in team collaboration, knowledge sharing, and technical discussions.
Required profile
- B.Sc. in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
- 8+ years of proven software development experience.
- Strong debugging, performance optimization, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Ability to mentor junior developers and perform code reviews.
- Willingness to travel abroad when needed and possession of a valid National Security Clearance is a plus.
Required skills
- C# and .NET Framework development.
- RESTful API design and integration (XML, JSON).
- Angular (v10+) and TypeScript; React experience is valuable.
- ORM frameworks, concurrency management, loading strategies, validation, caching.
- Source control and configuration management tools (Git, Azure DevOps, TFS, ClearCase).
- Continuous Integration and DevOps concepts.
- Object‑oriented programming, SOLID principles, design patterns.
- Front‑end architecture and component‑based development.
