Senior Specialist Engineer - R&D

About the role

Beko is looking for a Senior Specialist Engineer for its Research and Development Directorate in Beko Corporate, based in Çayırova, Istanbul. The role takes part in the TUBITAK 1515 Frontier Research Laboratory Support Program and focuses on designing, developing and optimizing functional materials and formulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and optimize functional materials and formulations using wet chemistry methods
• Research and evaluate new materials, chemical systems and emerging technologies
• Plan and conduct laboratory-scale experimental studies
• Run performance tests, material characterization and analytical evaluation of developed solutions
• Develop and evaluate experimental set-ups and functional prototypes
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions into R&D projects
• Benchmark competitive solutions, materials and technologies
• Carry out literature and patent searches and turn findings into experiments
• Report and present project outcomes across departments

Required profile

• Masters degree in Chemical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Chemistry or a related discipline
• At least 3 years of hands-on R&D experience in wet chemistry labs, materials development or chemical processes
• Experience in wet chemistry methods, formulation development, experimental design and laboratory testing
• Experience in material characterization and interpreting analytical results
• Excellent verbal and written English
