Senior Tax & Accounting Consultant

About the role

Basico Turkey is seeking an experienced Senior Tax & Accounting Consultant to join its CFO Services team. You will manage accounting, tax compliance and reporting for a portfolio of international clients operating in Turkey, working from our Istanbul office with a hybrid model.

Key responsibilities

• Perform bookkeeping and month‑end/year‑end closing under TR GAAP (VUK).
• Prepare statutory financial statements and support the annual closing process.
• File monthly, quarterly and annual tax returns, including VAT, withholding tax and corporate income tax.
• Manage e‑invoice and e‑ledger processes.
• Prepare reconciliations and GAAP adjustments for group reporting under IFRS/US GAAP.
• Assemble group reporting packages and respond to queries from headquarters and auditors.
• Contribute to process improvements and support client projects as needed.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in an audit firm, accounting practice or finance function of an international company.
• Degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of TR GAAP and Turkish tax legislation.
• Fluency in Turkish and English.
• Detail‑oriented, structured and hands‑on working style.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with IFRS and/or US GAAP reporting.
