SHE & Site Security Officer

About the role

Roche Diagnostics is looking for a SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) and Site Security Officer in Istanbul to lead and execute the SHE and site/office security agenda in the business. The role provides guidance to the General Manager and Local Team, promotes a safe environment for employees and ensures compliance with local laws, Roche directives and security requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Establish, lead and deliver SHE management systems, including organization, documentation, goals, audits, CAPA, training, incident and emergency management, fire protection, security management and product stewardship
• Promote SHE and site security based on local and Group objectives, communicate requirements and ensure compliance with local legislation, Roche directives and security requirements (K19)
• Implement and document risk management and risk assessment, organize periodic inspections and report critical incidents to the CSO
• Monitor and report SHE KPIs, trends and action plans
• Deliver onboarding and regular SHE training for new employees and the whole affiliate, and manage the occupational health agenda including medical checks with the People & Culture Department
• Support Business Continuity Management, emergency management and pandemic planning
• Manage security-related issues and investigations, and work with finance on legacy health and environmental liabilities
• Maintain contacts with local authorities, law enforcement and professional bodies, and guide the use of company cars from a safety and emissions perspective
• Support procurement in office landlord relations and future office strategy

Required profile

• University degree, preferably in engineering
• More than 5 years in a similar role with technical leadership experience
• Spoken and written English and Turkish
• Project and change management skills, experience with diverse senior leaders and in matrix, multi-cultural environments
• Occasional travel required
