Social Sustainability Manager

About the role

The Social Sustainability Manager will lead the organisation’s Social Sustainability workstream, designing and implementing projects that advance human rights, labour rights, gender equality and non‑discrimination. Reporting to the Deputy Executive Director and based in Istanbul, the role works in a hybrid model and collaborates with internal teams and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver programmes such as webinars, training sessions, workshops, publications and accelerator initiatives.
• Lead and coordinate all activities within the social sustainability workstream, including peer‑learning groups and flagship events.
• Support planning and execution of major events and represent the organisation at local, regional and international forums.
• Prepare social‑media content and external communication materials on social sustainability topics.
• Build and maintain relationships with strategic partners, stakeholders and relevant networks.
• Monitor emerging trends and legislative developments to inform programme evolution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Administrative Sciences, Social Sciences or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum five years of experience in social‑sustainability areas, preferably within non‑profit, international or purpose‑driven organisations.
• Strong knowledge of human rights, labour rights, gender equality, diversity, equity and inclusion.
• Excellent research, analytical, reporting and written communication skills in English and Turkish.
• Proven stakeholder‑management and relationship‑building abilities.
• Demonstrated project‑management and organisational capabilities, with ability to handle multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Fluency in written and spoken English and Turkish.
