Software Development Engineer C++

About the role

Join Siemens Turkey R&D to develop a failsafe runtime platform for industrial edge environments. You will work on cutting‑edge software that powers smart manufacturing, infrastructure and digital city solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, document and test C++ runtime components with a focus on robustness, reliability and performance.
• Maintain and enhance container‑based applications running on edge infrastructure.
• Participate in system and software architecture, requirements engineering and technical design discussions.
• Collaborate within an Agile team to deliver high‑quality, maintainable code.
• Work with product owners and stakeholders to align functional and non‑functional requirements.
• Follow established coding standards, testing strategies and CI/CD practices.
• Analyse and resolve software defects and system‑level issues, including performance and communication problems.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes and team efficiency.

Required profile

• BSc, MSc or PhD in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong C++ programming skills and solid understanding of object‑oriented design.
• Good knowledge of multithreading, concurrency, inter‑process communication, data structures and algorithms.
• Experience with Linux development environments.
• Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines and basic Bash scripting.
• Very good command of English and ability to work in a global, collaborative setting.
