Sr. Mobile Engineer - Upcoming Apps Portfolio (Android & iOS) (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking an exceptional Sr. Mobile Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of user‑facing features across our web and mobile experiences. This hands‑on position requires rapid understanding of unfamiliar codebases, risk identification, and delivery of reliable, maintainable production systems.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and performance optimization of native Android and iOS features.
• Collaborate closely with backend, product, and design teams to ship new capabilities through rapid iterations and continuous deployment.
• Utilize AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot) to boost productivity and code quality.
• Own end‑to‑end feature delivery, including publishing to Google Play and the Apple App Store and managing releases.
• Champion automated testing, unit/integration coverage, and maintain high‑quality, well‑tested codebases.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional mobile engineering experience delivering native Android and iOS applications.
• Proven ability to quickly grasp unfamiliar architectures, take ownership of production systems, and solve complex debugging challenges.
• Strong comfort working with incomplete documentation and ambiguity while maintaining high standards.
• Experience leveraging AI coding agents as a force multiplier and exercising sound judgment on AI‑generated output.

Required skills

• Android: Kotlin, Java, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, Dagger/Hilt, Retrofit, Room.
• iOS: Swift, SwiftUI, UIKit, Swift Concurrency (async/await), Combine, Core Data.
• Version control with GitHub, pull‑request workflows, SOLID principles, clean coding practices.
• Automated testing frameworks: Espresso/UI Automator for Android, XCTest/XCUITest for iOS.
• Publishing and release management on Google Play and Apple App Store, including store compliance.
• Day‑to‑day use of AI coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, or GitHub Copilot.
