Supply Planning Specialist

About the role

A recruiter for Abbott Türkiye is looking for a Supply Planning Specialist to join its supply chain team. The role covers excipients and packaging materials used by third-party manufacturing plants, ensuring materials are available for production and that inventory is balanced.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and execute purchase orders for excipients and packaging materials and coordinate with suppliers and third-party manufacturers to guarantee on-time delivery.
• Maintain inventory levels to avoid stockouts and overstocking, and reconcile inventory monthly with TPMs, keeping material movements in SAP S/4HANA.
• Use Bill of Materials and production versions in SAP S/4HANA and spreadsheets to run MRP, taking into account project-specific needs such as ASQ, equipment changes, export production and localization.
• Set and achieve annual and quarterly inventory budgets, set safety stock levels, track plan versus actuals and identify inventory adjustments that affect DOH and cash flow.
• Build proactive relationships with suppliers and third-party manufacturers, and work with the Import department to resolve delivery issues early.
• Work with Procurement, Quality, MS&T, TPM operations, Finance and Demand Planning, and support project, alternative equipment and NPI meetings.
• Keep planning parameters and master data (transit time, standard costs, lead times, safety stock, MOQs) accurate in SAP S/4HANA, MDG and Excel.
• Monitor slow-moving and near-expiry stock, drive mitigation actions and reduce scrap risk.
• Track KPIs such as OTIF, inventory turns, inventory accuracy and service level, and prepare regular performance reports.

Required profile

• University degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business or a related field.
• 4-5 years of experience, preferably in pharmaceuticals or FMCG, in supply or inventory planning.
• Experience in third-party manufacturing planning, inventory management, supply/operations planning or production scheduling.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Team player with strong communication and negotiation skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including spreadsheets and formulas.
