Team Leader - Area 1, 2nd Shift

About the role

Dauch Corporation is looking for a Team Leader for Area 1 on the 2nd shift. The role supports and sets up all machines in the area and covers coordination of customer and supplier activities, machine setups, CNC programming and maintenance, as well as continuous improvement and quality assurance.

Key responsibilities

• Set up two technologies within the established time study and coordinate setup activities using the department schedule
• Create and install CNC programs and lead cell on quality process assurance
• Coordinate customer and supplier containment activities and maintenance open work orders; perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot repairs
• Lead and participate in CI processes, corrective actions, problem-solving teams and program and cell launches of new products (prototypes)
• Develop plans to meet budget targets (CIMS), take part in budgeting and propose improvements
• Define autonomous maintenance activities such as daily pre-operation inspections and contribute to Poka-Yoke and equipment design where applicable
• Select machining processes, speeds and feeds, identify repetitive failures and lead in-house or external sorting activities at customer sites

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED, with courses in industrial or mechanical technologies, industrial maintenance or post-secondary technical training, or an equivalent combination of education and on-the-job experience
• Career Readiness Certificate
• Three to five years of experience in machine technology/operations and routine maintenance preferred
