Tech Lead, Android Core Product

About the role

This strategic Android engineering position will shape a fast‑growing mobile product used by millions worldwide. You will own major features from concept through release while collaborating closely with product, design, QA, and engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end delivery of major Android features, partnering with product and design to define, build, test, and launch high‑quality experiences.
• Shape the Android team’s direction through technical leadership, architectural decisions, and product‑focused thinking.
• Monitor and improve reliability metrics for key features, proactively addressing technical risks.
• Review pull requests, provide constructive feedback, and uphold high engineering standards.
• Handle critical incidents and unexpected technical challenges, driving issues to resolution.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a strong track record in Android development.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and user‑oriented problem‑solving skills.
• Proactive mindset with a drive for continuous improvement beyond specifications.

Required skills

• Kotlin and modern Android development tools (Kotlin Coroutines, Kotlin Flow, Jetpack Navigation, Dagger 2, Room, Jetpack Compose).
• Experience with custom views, Canvas, Paint, Android animations, background services, music player services.
• Strong understanding of MVVM, Clean Architecture, and testing frameworks (JUnit, automated UI tests).
