Technical BA & BI Team Lead

About the role

An organization urgently needs an experienced Technical BA & BI Team Lead to lead BI and Data Warehouse initiatives, drive technical excellence and deliver scalable, reliable, business-oriented analytical solutions. The role combines business analysis leadership with hands-on BI and data warehouse work.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the BI development team, plan and coordinate team activities, and collaborate with stakeholders to turn business needs into technical solutions.
• Design, develop and test Data Warehouse ETL processes, maintain and tune ETL jobs, and ensure data quality and performance.
• Develop and enhance ETL (SSIS), OLAP (SSAS) and OLTP models, and define technical standards and code reviews.
• Create dashboards and interactive reports in Power BI, and generate periodic and ad hoc reports for stakeholders.
• Oversee analytical model development (forecasting, classification, clustering) and use predictive modeling to improve user experience, revenue and ad targeting.
• Integrate data from external sources, monitor project progress and risks, and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and performance optimization.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering; Master's or Ph.D. is a plus.
• At least 7 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in data management, analysis and reporting.
• Previous experience leading a technical team, mentoring members and coordinating projects.
• Strong analytical thinking, planning and prioritization, and excellent English communication skills.

Required skills

• SQL and expert-level MS SQL query.
• Data analytics tools: SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI.
• ETL and data modeling; familiarity with data warehousing concepts (SCD, partitioning).
• Python or R; knowledge of probability, statistics, machine learning and advanced analytics.
• DAX proficiency is a distinct advantage; ERP and CRM experience is a plus.
