Technical Control Engineer – Batman Refinery

About the role

We are looking for a Technical Control Engineer (Senior level) to join the Batman refinery of Tüpraş. The role focuses on ensuring reliability and operational excellence of refinery equipment through monitoring, investigation and implementation of corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

• Implement reliability methods defined by the General Directorate of Operational Reliability and Operational Excellence.
• Monitor, evaluate and report deviations on refinery reliability KPIs.
• Plan and coordinate incident investigation studies with relevant stakeholders.
• Oversee HAY, GMB, RTK and SIFPro studies and disseminate findings.
• Verify field implementation of reliability‑related actions.
• Identify problematic equipment and drive corrective and preventive measures.
• Ensure compliance with national and international standards and legislation.
• Participate in periodic pressure‑vessel inspections as a Quality Manager within the ISO 17020 accredited inspection organization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Metallurgical and Materials Engineering.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Experience with welding, corrosion, material selection, destructive and non‑destructive testing, and technical inspection methods.
• Familiarity with standards such as ASME, ASTM, EN, API (650, 653, 571, 510) and NACE.
• Background in piping, pressure vessels, and static equipment manufacturing or construction.
