Tender Manager – Building, Infrastructure and Energy Projects

About the role

An experienced Tender Manager is sought to lead the tendering processes for large-scale building, infrastructure, energy and industrial facility projects, undertaken both domestically and internationally. The role covers the full tender lifecycle, from review of requests for proposals to handover to the project team after contract award.

Key responsibilities

• Manage tendering and bidding processes from initiation through submission
• Review and analyse RFPs, technical specifications, project drawings and contractual documents
• Carry out quantity take-offs, cost estimates, preliminary cost calculations, unit pricing and price analysis
• Prepare rapid cost estimations in the pre-tender phase and define target costs for activities and subsystems
• Coordinate with Engineering, Budget and Planning, Finance and Project teams
• Identify and implement cost optimisation opportunities to strengthen tender competitiveness
• Prepare technical and commercial tender documents, compliance matrices and customer presentations
• Run risk and opportunity assessments and manage communication with customers, suppliers and partners
• Monitor tender schedules and ensure accurate, traceable and timely completion of tender documentation
• Manage the handover to the Project Team after contract award

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering
• At least 10 years of professional experience in tendering, bidding, technical office operations or cost estimation
• At least 3 years of experience in team and process management
• Experience preparing tenders for large-scale building, infrastructure, energy or industrial projects
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of quantity take-offs, cost estimates, unit pricing and price analysis
• Ability to read, analyse and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and AutoCAD
• Strong customer relationship management, presentation and negotiation skills
• Good command of written and spoken English
