Thermal Systems Design Engineering Intern (6 Months)

About the role
The internship supports digitalization of processes, runs flow and thermal tests, provides engineering support to the shop, and conducts CFD simulations within GE Aerospace's advanced engineering center in Istanbul.
Key responsibilities
- Execute design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles.
- Run flow and thermal tests and document technical data according to engineering policies.
- Provide engineering support to the shop on various projects and sustaining efforts.
- Develop simple code scripts to automate tasks.
Required profile
- 3rd or 4th year Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering student (or Master/PhD candidate) with active student status.
- Solid foundation in heat transfer, fluid mechanics, dynamics, and mechanical design.
- Basic knowledge of at least one programming language (Python preferred).
- Good command of English and Turkish, both written and spoken.
Required skills
- Understanding of fluid mechanics and heat transfer.
- Basic coding skills (Python, C++).
- Familiarity with CFD tools such as ANSYS Fluent or CFX.
- Experience with modeling tools like Unigraphics or SolidWorks.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
