Welding Engineer (Brazing Processes)

About the role

This role leads the development, optimization and standardization of brazing processes used in manufacturing operations. It also supports New Product Introduction (NPI), investigates production and quality issues, and drives projects to reduce scrap, rework and process losses.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, optimize and standardize brazing processes and support NPI activities, including process design, validation and production transfer.
• Analyze process performance and investigate production and quality issues, applying root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Drive projects to reduce scrap, rework costs and process losses, and work with product design teams on joint reliability and manufacturability.
• Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing projects across the factory.
• Develop and maintain process documentation, PFMEA, Control Plans and control strategies; deliver training and technical support to operators and technicians.
• Support the evaluation, installation and commissioning of new manufacturing equipment, and ensure EHS and quality compliance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical & Materials Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, welding, brazing or joining processes.
• Hands-on experience with brazing process development, validation and production support.
• Good command of English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of PFMEA, SPC, MSA and Control Plan methodologies.
• Experience with structured problem-solving tools such as 8D, Root Cause Analysis and Kaizen.
• Strong analytical, communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
