WHS Specialist, Workplace Health & Safety

About the role

The Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Specialist will support Amazon’s IST2 Fulfillment Center in Turkey by ensuring compliance with national occupational health and safety legislation. The role focuses on designing, delivering and tracking mandatory safety training and maintaining all related documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver 12 hours of mandatory legal safety training for new hires before their first day.
• Plan and deliver 12 hours of refresher safety training for existing employees.
• Maintain accurate training records and documentation to demonstrate compliance with Turkish safety regulations.
• Monitor legislative changes, interpret updates and conduct periodic gap analyses against OHS regulations.
• Establish and manage a structured documentation system for WHS compliance records, including version control and digital archiving.

Required profile

• B Class Safety Expert Certificate (Türkiye B Class).
• Training of Trainer Certificate.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong English language skills.
• BS degree in engineering (preferred).
• NEBOSH IGC (asset).
• Minimum 5 years experience in health & safety within logistics or similar operations.
