Director of Commercial Strategy

About the role

The Director of Commercial Strategy will lead the development and execution of the sales and commercial plan for Mandarin Oriental Bodrum. Reporting to the General Manager, this senior leader will shape the hotel’s market positioning, drive revenue growth, and ensure alignment with the brand’s luxury standards.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the General Manager to create and implement a sales strategy that increases market share and profitability.
• Provide strategic direction for channel management and sales distribution across all market segments, adhering to brand guidelines.
• Develop the commercial outlook and ensure strategies conform to the group’s brand philosophies and initiatives.
• Coordinate sales strategies with regional sales offices, marketing communications teams, and property leadership.
• Communicate hotel direction to revenue management, sales, and hotel leaders.
• Prepare the hotel’s budget and lead the development, implementation, and upkeep of the commercial marketing plan.
• Coach sales and marketing colleagues on commercial strategies.
• Align catering and events directors with commercial targets and hold them accountable for achieving sales objectives.
• Formulate and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue, including suite segmentation and monthly performance tracking.
• Represent the hotel at major trade shows and industry meetings to identify market opportunities.
