Director of Finance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Director of Finance to join the Executive Committee of a leading international luxury hospitality organisation in Ankara. Reporting to the General Manager, the role will own end‑to‑end financial operations, reporting, compliance and governance, and act as a strategic business partner.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Finance Department and ensure efficient, accurate and compliant financial operations.
• Act as strategic business partner to the General Manager and Executive Committee, providing financial insight for planning and investment decisions.
• Analyse financial performance, identify trends and variances, and recommend actions to improve profitability.
• Prepare and present monthly financial statements, management reports, budgets, forecasts and annual business plans.
• Oversee month‑end and year‑end closing processes, ensuring timely reconciliations and accurate reporting.
• Ensure compliance with corporate policies, IFRS, Turkish tax legislation and statutory reporting requirements.
• Manage cash flow, treasury activities, banking relationships and working‑capital optimisation.
• Coordinate internal and external audit processes and address audit findings.
• Recruit, coach and develop a high‑performing Finance team, establishing clear responsibilities and performance expectations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of professional experience with significant finance leadership responsibility.
• Proven experience as Director of Finance, Financial Controller or senior finance role within an international hotel environment.
• Prior pre‑opening experience and multi‑property exposure preferred.
• Recognised professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA) advantageous.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with PeopleSoft.
• Familiarity with Opera PMS, SUN Systems, Hyperion, Delphi or Micros hospitality systems.
• Knowledge of IFRS and Turkish financial regulations (taxation, statutory reporting).
