About the role
Mastercard is seeking a Director to lead specialist sales for its Services Business Development unit. The role focuses on the Test & Learn platform, serving a global client base and driving revenue growth across key verticals such as retail, travel, digital, CPG and telco.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute a sales strategy for prospect accounts in the South Africa market, targeting multimillion‑dollar, multi‑year deals.
- Build and convert a cold pipeline into active opportunities by hunting new prospects and leveraging existing networks.
- Articulate the value of bundling Test & Learn with other Mastercard products (SessionM, Managed Services, SpendingPulse, Loyalty, etc.).
- Present to senior client audiences and influence large‑scale deals.
- Collaborate across Mastercard divisions to ensure seamless partnership.
- Apply strong problem‑solving and analytics to engage internal stakeholders and customers with fact‑based insights.
- Represent Mastercard Data & Services to C‑suite and senior client stakeholders.
Required profile
- Proven experience in software, consulting or data‑driven solution sales or presales at a senior level.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, comfortable presenting to C‑suite audiences.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a fact‑based approach.
- Demonstrated ability to build pipelines and close multimillion‑dollar deals.
- Collaborative mindset to partner effectively across a large organization.
