Supply Chain Assistant

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Supply Chain Assistant to support procurement activities in its Ankara office. Working under the National Supply Chain Officer and the Supply Chain Associate, you will help ensure the timely acquisition of goods and services that support IOM’s migration programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, verify and consolidate procurement requisition forms in line with the Purchase Authorization Matrix.
• Prepare tender documents, solicit bids or quotations, and compile bid analysis summaries for requesting units.
• Confirm terms with selected suppliers, issue purchase orders or contracts, and obtain required authorisations.
• Monitor open requisitions, follow up on deliveries, and coordinate receipt documentation with the receiving unit.
• Review vendor invoices, prepare payment requests and liaise with Finance to ensure timely payments.
• Maintain physical and electronic procurement records and support the preparation of periodic reports.
• Conduct market surveys, identify new suppliers and participate in supplier evaluations regarding quality, price and service.
• Track contractual agreements and inform relevant parties of any changes.

Required profile

• Ability to work under supervision of senior supply‑chain staff.
• Attention to detail in verifying requisitions and documentation.
• Good organisational skills to manage multiple procurement processes.
