AI Product Engineer

About the role

Curiosity Technology, a TAV Technologies company, builds real-time, multilingual AI-powered solutions such as PortAssist and SelamAI for airports, shopping malls and other public spaces. It is looking for a hands-on AI Product Engineer who takes ownership of production systems, maintains and optimizes AI models, reviews code and helps build reliable, scalable products.

Key responsibilities

• Review pull requests, enforce coding standards and catch bugs, security vulnerabilities and technical debt, including issues introduced by AI-generated code.
• Deploy, monitor, maintain and optimize AI/LLM models and inference pipelines in production.
• Contribute to backend and frontend development, debugging, refactoring, performance optimization and feature delivery.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, infrastructure monitoring, vulnerability management and secure software delivery.
• Investigate incidents, perform root-cause analysis and ensure system stability.
• Improve conversational AI pipelines (LLMs, speech-to-text, text-to-speech) and support indoor mapping, routing and navigation features.
• Manage engineering tasks, take part in sprint planning and keep technical documentation up to date with Jira or similar tools.
• Take part in a 24/7 on-call rotation, including remote troubleshooting and occasional on-site interventions.

Required profile

• Strong professional software engineering experience, ideally with Python and modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
• Ability to critically review AI-generated code and improve code quality.
• Hands-on experience deploying, monitoring and maintaining AI/ML models in production.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, technical ownership and independence in a fast-moving startup environment.
• Professional English and ability to work on-site at the Istanbul office and commute when required.
• Availability for scheduled on-call duties and critical incidents outside normal hours.

• Git workflows, code reviews and collaboration; Docker, Linux, REST APIs and production infrastructure.
• DevSecOps, CI/CD, secure coding and vulnerability remediation.
• Jira, Scrum and Agile workflows.
• Nice to have: LiveKit, WebRTC, vLLM, Hugging Face, PyTorch, Kubernetes, MicroK8s, indoor navigation, GIS, React, Next.js, FastAPI, PostgreSQL and vector databases.
