Creative Strategist, Growth Marketing (Istanbul, 12-Month Contract)

About the role

Canva is looking for a Creative Strategist for Turkey, based in Istanbul with a hybrid arrangement. The role is the creative engine behind Canva's paid and organic marketing in the region, combining data, storytelling and cultural nuance to drive user growth. It is a hands-on, insight-led position with no direct team to manage, but with real influence over creative direction, agency partners and cross-functional teams. The contract runs for 12 months.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full creative cycle (research, briefing, production, editing and analysis), running sprint cycles with regional and global teams and developing testable ideas from user insights.
• Analyse performance dashboards, run creative tests, lift studies and attribution experiments with analytics teams.
• Define high-performing creative for Turkish audiences across Meta, TikTok, Instagram and emerging platforms, building content systems from performance data and local cultural moments.
• Brief and review creator content for on-brand, platform-optimised results, bringing cultural fluency to every project.
• Bridge external creative partners and internal stakeholders, including media buyers, data science, the Europe Growth Marketing Lead and agency partners across Brand, Product Growth and Analytics.
• Contribute to CRO initiatives to improve conversion across the funnel.

Required profile

• Hands-on experience in creative strategy or performance marketing, with a strong eye for platform-native creative and a rigorous approach to testing.
• Genuine, deep knowledge of the Turkish market; fluent Turkish and English, other languages a bonus.
• Experience briefing and iterating creative in cross-functional sprints.
• Self-directed, collaborative and able to work between global teams, agencies and local execution.

Required skills

• Extensive growth marketing experience across paid and organic social (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Instagram).
• Use of performance dashboards, data tools and measurement frameworks such as MMM and attribution.
