Analytics Engineer – AI‑Powered Product Data Platform

About the role

Join LC Waikiki’s Digital Transformation journey as an Analytics Engineer within the Master Data Management organization. You will help build an AI‑powered Product Data Platform that serves as the central hub for product data and AI services, supporting both local and global initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build components of the Product Data Platform (PDP), including the Product AI API that leverages LLMs and embeddings.
• Develop Product Intelligence (Pi) to turn product data into actionable insights and self‑service analytics.
• Design trusted analytical data models using modern ELT principles and curated datasets.
• Implement automated data‑quality controls, tests, and alerts to catch errors at the source.
• Perform root‑cause analysis for data anomalies and proactively propose improvements.
• Enable business units to run self‑service LLM experiments and promote proven ideas to production.
• Apply AI‑assisted development tools (e.g., Cursor, agentic workflows) to accelerate delivery while maintaining quality.
• Drive engineering best practices such as documentation, data lineage, and governance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and strong Python programming skills.
• Hands‑on experience with modern data stacks, data modeling (Kimball/dimensional), and ELT/Data transformation.
• Frontend development experience with React for building data‑facing user interfaces.
• Experience in data quality, testing, and observability.
• Product‑minded software approach, delivering working products rather than just reports.
• Analytical thinking and clear communication with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
