Category Buyer – Procurement Specialist

About the role

Schneider Electric is seeking a Category Buyer to join its Central Procurement team at the Manisa plant. You will act as the single point of contact for a portfolio of suppliers, ensuring business continuity, driving strategy, and supporting digital and sustainable initiatives across the supply chain.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Category Manager to define ETO specifications and qualification criteria.
• Develop and execute the Annual Procurement Operational Plan (APOP) in line with global and plant strategies.
• Negotiate global frame agreements and lead breakthrough initiatives such as make‑or‑buy analyses.
• Build supplier development plans with Global Category, SLD, and quality teams.
• Monitor supplier performance, address deviations, and ensure capacity for ETO growth.
• Drive cost‑to‑delivery improvements and cash flow with suppliers.
• Support project buyers on key opportunities and maintain business continuity.

Required profile

• Engineering bachelor’s degree (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Material & Metallurgical); master’s degree is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years of procurement experience.
• Proven ability to define strategy, influence stakeholders, and lead negotiations.
