Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper leads daily shift operations for housekeeping, recreation/health club and, when applicable, laundry services at a hotel property. The role ensures guest rooms, public areas and employee zones are clean, well‑maintained, and meet brand standards while supporting guest and employee satisfaction within the operating budget.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate guest‑room status updates with the Front Desk and collaborate with Engineering on maintenance needs.
• Supervise the general cleaning schedule, assign work based on room turnover lists, and conduct inspections of guestrooms and public spaces.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies, linens and uniforms; order supplies as needed.
• Manage departmental expenses, monitor budgets, operating statements and payroll reports to achieve financial targets.
• Address guest complaints, drive service improvements and empower staff to deliver excellent customer service.
• Participate in HR activities such as staffing, accident investigations and enforcement of policies and disciplinary procedures.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience, OR a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration or a related field (no experience required).
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead a team and enforce standards.
