Floor Manager – Luxury Retail

About the role

The Floor Manager will lead the shop‑floor team at Hermès Istanbul, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and the highest service standards for our clients. You will act as the bridge between the Store Manager and the sales staff, overseeing daily operations, staff development and customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the floor team, providing direction, feedback and support.
• Oversee onboarding and training of new and temporary staff, focusing on product knowledge, handling and presentation.
• Maintain optimal staffing levels, especially during holidays and peak periods.
• Develop and nurture client relationships, manage the client database and coordinate with the Press department for events.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and proactively.
• Achieve sales targets, coach the team on sales tools such as HPad, Click in Store and My Folio.
• Manage merchandise flow, monitor stock availability and liaise with the Stock team.
• Produce and publish performance reports, and ensure visual‑merchandising standards are met.
• Perform key‑holding duties, open and close the store, and manage cash handling and financial compliance.

Required profile

• Proven experience in retail management, preferably in luxury or high‑end environments.
• Strong leadership and team‑development skills.
• Excellent customer‑service orientation and ability to handle client relations.
• Organisational ability to manage staffing, stock and store operations.
• Capability to act as deputy for the Store Manager and lead projects.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HPad reservation system.
• Experience using Click in Store sales tool.
• Familiarity with My Folio reporting platform.
• Knowledge of stock‑management procedures and visual‑merchandising guidelines.
