Integration Architect

About the role

We are looking for an Integration Architect to design and govern the end‑to‑end integration architecture that connects our developer portal with enterprise observability, ITSM, and monitoring platforms. The role ensures consistent, permission‑aware visibility of service health and dependencies across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define integration architecture, API contracts, data models, authentication patterns, and event flows linking Backstage to observability, ITSM, and monitoring tools.
• Architect monitoring integration, embed dashboards (Grafana/LGTM) per catalog entity, and manage entity‑to‑dashboard mapping with authentication passthrough.
• Design ITSM/CMDB integration, including CI schema mapping, catalog‑to‑CMDB synchronization, ticket‑creation flows, and error handling.
• Lead GitOps integration with ArgoCD, covering plugin integration, API authentication, entity‑annotation mapping, and RBAC projection.
• Own announcements and notifications integration, configuring channels such as email and Teams webhooks.
• Define database visibility integration for Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, and PostgreSQL, and search integration with Elasticsearch/pgsearch.
• Architect SDD document generation from repository and catalog metadata.
• Collaborate with Backstage, Azure, and VMware architects to ensure accurate telemetry and metadata exposure.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience designing system integrations across monitoring/observability, ITSM/CMDB, and GitOps tools.
• Hands‑on experience with ServiceNow, including CI schema design and ticket‑creation workflows.
• Proven ability to design reconciliation and synchronization processes.
