Software Developer – Mobile Financial Services

About the role

Ericsson Mobile Financial Services is seeking a Software Developer to join the Ericsson Wallet Platform team. You will work in an agile, collaborative environment, building and improving software, automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines that support millions of users across Africa and the Middle East.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance software solutions and internal automation tools throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Design, implement, and continuously improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Create automation scripts using Python and Bash to increase development, testing, and operational efficiency.
• Build and manage containerised environments with Docker and Podman.
• Support application deployment and orchestration across IAT, SIT, UAT and Production using Kubernetes and Helm.
• Develop internal web‑based automation platforms with Python, Flask and PostgreSQL.
• Maintain Java‑based applications using Jakarta EE, EJB and Quarkus.
• Integrate AI services and APIs into internal tools to boost productivity.
• Develop automated functional, integration and performance tests, including load testing with Locust.
• Apply secure coding practices and contribute to vulnerability mitigation.
• Perform unit, component and integration testing, troubleshoot issues, and support go‑live activities.
• Document CI/CD workflows, platform architecture and operational procedures, and track progress in Jira.
